Project overview

Digitalent are a global recruitment agency who connect businesses with tech and creative talent.

Working in partnership with Digital Media Stream we developed a complete brand architecture for their complex network of services across the UK, USA and Australia.

The first steps were to work out the brand strategy, get to the core of what the business was about, their key audiences and demographics and what they were trying to achieve and accomplish. The second step was to help them in bringing their vision to life by defining their values and service offering through a brand sprint process and workshops to unearth what’s important to their clients and what makes Digitalent tick.

Discovery and research

Digitalent’s offering is very different to the rest of the industry, we needed to uncover ways in which we could retain existing parts of their brand that have helped define them to this point, but at the same time push on, bringing to life their ideas & vision.

The options available to early careers candidates and employers were extensive, but their existing website was difficult to navigate, and was no longer supporting the needs of the business. It was time for change. We needed to create an experience that would aid this key careers audience in understanding and quickly identifying the abundance of career opportunities available, providing clear, concise and easy access to relevant, educational and engaging content – bringing to life Digitalent’s core message: ‘Your Trusted Talent Partner’.

The result

We designed a brand that is bold, distinctive and human enough to give Digitalent the confidence to promote themselves. The logomark is clear, solid and deliberate, playing on the ‘D’ using various shapes that present a uniformed output. The colours and graphical elements convey this further perfectly with a bold and precise aesthetic.

Working closely with Digitalent’s existing audience, the new site was created to support the browsing habits of both demographics including candidates and employers. We simplified the UX, removed the jargon and kept the messaging clear, and simple. All of which resulted in helping users identify and access relevant content and opportunities, quickly and easily.

The end result is a strong and consistent hierarchy that unites all of Digitalent’s existing services.

What impressed me about Jake the most was that he took the time to listen and understand our business requirements. The new branding and website he provided exceeded our expectations.
